A man in Toledo, Ohio, is facing numerous charges after he allegedly chased his son with a hatchet and flung the weapon at him.
Noel Dawson, 63, was arrested on Sunday after he allegedly swung a hatchet at his adult son, causing the man to fear for his life, according to WWNO-TV.
Officers called to the scene found Dawson’s 25-year-old son on top of him.
When police questioned the son, he said he and his father had been arguing. Then the suspect allegedly picked up the hatchet and threw it at his son.
Dawson’s son moved out of the way of the flying hatchet, which then struck a nearby Ford F-150 pickup truck leaving a large dent in the hood, according to WKYC TV.
Dawson was arrested, but refused to give the officer any information. Instead, he just shouted obscenities, according to the Toledo Blade.
In fact, he continued to shout obscenities all the way to the police station, according to WKYC TV.
On Thursday, he pleaded not guilty to all of the charges and bond was set at $25,000.
