Man With No Health Insurance Mends Own Broken Ankle

Lou Padilla calls himself a "lock expert." Having his own business means that he can work his way -- quickly and efficiently.

The downside? He doesn't have health insurance. So when Padilla broke his ankle a few years ago, the time and money spent on having to have doctors fix him up seemed a big waste.

Instead, he decided to tend to the broken bone himself, NPR reports.
