It’s official, Marc Anthony is once again a married man.

The Grammy-winning Puerto Rican singer, 46, tied the knot with 26-year-old Venezuelan model Shannon de Lima in the Dominican Republic on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Associated Press.

The ceremony was a private event between the couple’s friends and families, but Univision’s Despierta América obtained exclusive access to the event. The Spanish-language morning show shared Instagram photos and details of the wedding early Wednesday morning.

Anthony and de Lima were married in the salsa singer’s residence at the Dominican seaside resort Casa de Campo, La Romana. An altar was built for the occasion and 120 seats were placed for attendees. The newlyweds said their vows at around 6 p.m.

According to Despierta América’s Orlando Segura, who covered the wedding, guests’ cellphones were taken away upon arrival.

Marc was dressed all in white as he awaited the bride at the altar. De Lima wore a fitted white gown with a V neckline and walked down the aisle with her uncle.

The ceremony itself was very emotional, Despierta América reports. When the Venezuelan beauty joined Anthony at the altar, the singer whispered something in her ear and she began to cry. The wedding’s officiate, judge Ivelise Guerrero, later had to stop for several minutes because the Salsa star could not stop crying.

The model’s son, Carlos, was the ceremony’s ring bearer. And once the couple was presented as husband and wife, dozens of golden butterflies were released in celebration.

Univision radio host Enrique Santos was in charge of leading the reception, which continued the all-white theme of the ceremony. A flower replica of De Lima’s wedding gown was also a center-piece at the event.

As expected, Dominican superstar Juan Luis Guerra took the stage as the bride and groom had their first dance. Later, Colombian singer Carlos Vives performed for guests. Other artists, like Tito “El Bambino," attended.

Guests ate fresh fish and lobster for dinner, and sides of typical Venezuelan, Puerto Rican and Dominican food were also served.

This is the third marriage for Anthony, who was previously with former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres and pop singer Jennifer Lopez. The Salsa singer has six children from his previous relationship, including his twins Max and Emme with Lopez.

Lopez and Anthony filed for divorce in 2011 after seven years together. The Salsero began dating de Lima in early 2012.

In 2013, Anthony’s rep told People magazine that he and de Lima went through an “amicable breakup” in January of that year. The singer then dated Topshop heiress Chloe Green off-and-on for several months before getting back together with the Venezuelan model in March 2014.
