Marc Jacobs Says No Celebs In His Show's Front Row

Celebs are so last season, if you ask designer Marc Jacobs. He told Style.com that he's not into the "celebrity thing" anymore, calling it boring.

"I think that at that moment in time, that's what people loved. It generated so much press [but] at a certain point it was like, 'Did anybody actually watch the show?'" Jacobs explained.

He said that last season only two celebs attended his show: Lady Gaga, who didn't make it to her seat because she was late, and Madonna, who "just called and said she was coming, and we weren't holding the show for her...there are certain things I can't control."

Jacobs's celeb ban seems like a good move, at least financially. Stars like Rihanna are paid $100,000 just to sit in fashion week's front rows.
