We all know where Marco Rubio stands on his policy issues, but where does he stand when it comes to celebrity rap battles? TMZ seemed to get some answers this week, when the Florida Senator boldly proclaimed his love for Tupac.

The gossip site happened to catch Rubio between flights and quickly asked his opinion about Lil Wayne dissing the legendary hip-hop star.

“Tupac lived in a different time,” he said. “The guys [like Lil Wayne] have some message in what they’re saying, but I think they’re largely entertainers.” (Watch Video Above)

Marco went to praise Shakur’s lyrics, saying he informed a generation. And if that wasn’t enough, he showered praise on the Wu-Tang Clan and Dave Chappelle. Will that lead to any rapper endorsements in the near future? Only time will tell.
