Mariah Carey Struggles Through 'All I Want For Christmas'

As she is wont to do, Mariah Carey performed "All I Want for Christmas Is You" during Wednesday night's Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting in New York City. Carey was supposed to record the performance on Tuesday night, but she allegedly had to take a call from her divorce attorney (according to TMZ), so instead she opened NBC's hour-long broadcast to some less-than-favorable results.

A faction of Twitter jumped on Carey's vocal snafus. Specifically, the singer skipped some of the high notes -- her signature trait -- and let the backup singers carry certain parts of the song. We don't think Joanna from "Love Actually" would approve.

Of course, because the Internet can't let something like this go to waste, one of Deadspin's blogs has published the purported isolated vocal track from the performance. Video from TMZ is below:
