Mariah Carey's Style Evolution (PHOTOS)

Mariah Carey's Seductive Style Through The Years

Here's my earliest memory of Mariah Carey: a head full of curls on the cover of her 1990 self-titled debut album. I was gifted the R&B record by my brother Daryl, who purchased it from a mail order CD club (anyone remember those?). By co-penning powerhouse ballads like "Vision of Love" and "I Don't Wanna Cry," Carey established herself as a vocal force to be reckoned with -- and as an absolute icon of the '90s.

The New York-native's five-octave range has earned her countless honors, including Grammy, Billboard and World Music Awards. And while her initial venture into film with the 2001 rags-to-riches tale "Glitter" bombed, Carey bounced back as a nearly unrecognizable social worker in the 2009 drama "Precious," for which she picked up the Palm Springs International Film Festival Breakthrough Performance Award.

With a career spanning over two decades as a singer, songwriter, fragrance creator and Jenny Craig spokesmodel, the mother of fraternal twins Monroe and Moroccan with husband Nick Cannon seems to have found her rhythm. In celebration of Carey's 42nd birthday on March 27th, we're taking a look back at the songbird's seductive style. Vote on all her looks in the slideshow below and check out her hair transformation over the years.
