Marie Kondo Shows Us The Perfect Way To Fold A T-Shirt

Marie Kondo, clutter-free lifestyle guru and bestselling author of The Life-Changing Magic Of Tidying Up, took the world by storm earlier this year with her "KonMari Method" of organization.

Kondo's approach to decluttering was unlike anything we had ever heard. Instead of randomly keeping items because of a favorite memory, Kondo would ask readers to assess whether items in their home -- from a pair of socks to a dutch oven -- "spark joy." If the answer was yes, the item stayed. If no, it got respectfully tossed, having fulfilled its purpose.

Perhaps even more mind-boggling than asking whether an old spoon "sparks joy" is Kondo's method of folding and storing clothes. Items should not be stacked on top of each other, Kondo insists, as this takes up more space and is not ideal for the item at the bottom of the pile that bears all the weight. Instead, clothes should be folded deliberately and compactly, so they can actually stand in the drawer.

Sounds confusing, right? The Huffington Post recently got the chance to see Kondo perform her magic folding method in person. Watch the video above to see the specific way she folds T-shirts and, as always, don't forget to infuse the shirt with some positive energy at the end.
