Marie Osmond Talks Son's Suicide: 'I Know I'll See My Son Again'

Marie Osmond said that she knows she'll see her son again in a new interview with "omg! Insider." The 53-year-old veteran performer was talking about the suicide of her 18-year-old son Michael Blosil, who jumped to his death from a high-rise apartment building in Los Angeles on Feb. 26, 2010.

"I know I'll see my son again and it's that kind of faith that gets you through the difficult dark moments," she said about the approaching three-year anniversary. "Have I been through dark moments? Absolutely. Is it difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel? Sometimes it's very challenging, but I have great hope. If I were to say one thing I would want to spread through this show and the thing that I do is give people hope. To let them know that we all go through it."

Nine months after Blosil's suicide, Osmond opened up to Oprah Winfrey about her loss. "I've been through some tough things in my life [but] this is probably the hardest thing I've been through," she said, revealing that she "knew something was wrong" with Blosil at the time. Blosil had struggled on and off with drug abuse since the age of 12 and battled depression, though he was reportedly sober at the time of his death.
