Marilyn Hagerty, Anthony Bourdain Reportedly Discuss Book Collaboration

Bourdain To Partner On Book With Newly-Famous Olive Garden Reviewer?

When an e-furor erupted around longtime Grand Forks Herald columnist Marilyn Hagerty's quaint review of Olive Garden, it was nice of Anthony Bourdain to stick up for her and invite her to New York's Le Bernardin restaurant. That was a show of chivalry grandiose enough for the Knight of Flowers himself. But if the Grand Forks Herald is right, Bourdain has more fun in store for his new friend Marilyn.

The unlikely duo is allegedly discussing the idea of writing an entire book together. Or perhaps, as Eater speculates, they're mulling the possibility of Hagerty writing a book for Bourdain's publishing imprint at Ecco Books.

Either one would entail a serious investment, in time and possibly money, on Bourdain's part. Could it be that the "No Reservations" star is now acting out of more than just gentlemanliness? It seems increasingly likely that Bourdain was genuinely charmed -- or even impressed -- by Hagerty during her visit to New York.
