Marissa Roth: The World Through Her Lens

Marissa Roth respected her calling early on. With an artist's sensibility, Marissa turned her talents to the still camera donning the Nikon shortly out of college and entering the heavily male dominated world of photojournalism. Since making that decision, her career has taken her all over the world, been an audience to dignitaries and poverty, war and too many widows. After her team earned a Pulitzer Prize for their coverage of the L.A. Riots, she authored photography books that have documented her travels, female victims of war and beauty in disputed regions of the globe that have displaced millions.

As the "citizen journalist" continues to edge out talented photojournalists and shutter the news media they once helped define, Marissa Roth continues to keep her cameras close capturing stories that the world needs to see.
