Rep. Mark Amodei (R-Nev.) defeated Independent American candidate Janine Hansen in the state's 2nd District Tuesday.
Amodei was first elected in a special election in 2011 to fill the seat vacated by now-Sen. Dean Heller (R-Nev.).
Hansen was cited in a Southern Poverty Law Center report after she called rancher Cliven Bundy a "hero."
