Guitarist Mark Tremonti has made a name for himself as one of the best guitarists around, first with Creed and now with rock band Alter Bridge. But it is in his solo material, which is a bit faster and heavier, where the guitarist's roots shine through best. Tremonti, who grew up obsessively listening to bands like Metallica, says that unlike pop fans who might like a song here or there, metal fans tend to dig a little deeper. "I was always an isolated kid, we moved around, I didn't have many friends, so those albums were my life. People always told me I was going to grow out of it. I'm 42 years old and I still love it just as much as I ever have."
