Markos Moulitsas Bashes MSNBC On Olbermann's First 'Countdown' (VIDEO)

WATCH: Daily Kos Chief Bashes MSNBC On Olbermann's First Show

Keith Olbermann didn't waste any time getting some digs in--or, rather, letting his guests get some digs in--at his old network upon his return to television.

The final guest of Olbermann's first edition of "Countdown" on Current TV was Daily Kos chief Markos Moulitsas. Olbermann had him on to talk about the GOP, but he quickly switched topics, asking Moulitsas why he had not been seen on cable news in over a year.

It was rather a leading question; Moulitsas has been fairly publicly banned from MSNBC after feuding with Joe Scarborough on Twitter in July. But Moulitsas took the baton and ran with it.

"It seems that your old boss [MSNBC president Phil Griffin] had a little problem with me," he said. "I was under the impression that you were in charge of your own guests ... turns out that Joe Scarborough has veto power over who can speak on everybody else's shows."

Moulitsas continued the MSNBC bashing for a few minutes, mocking Scarborough as a low-rated "loser host" who went "crying to his superiors" demanding an apology from Moulitsas. He said he refused to give the apology, and was thus banned.

"That's kind of a sad story you told us just there, Markos," Olbermann deadpanned.
