Mars Panorama: Explore 360-Degree 'Street View' From Curiosity Rover

EXPLORE: 360 Degree 'Street View' Of Mars Surface

Want to go to Mars, but don't want to be stranded there?

Now you can. With the Curiosity Rover's 360 degree camera, you can now see the surface of Mars in unprecedented clarity. You can even turn the interactive camera in all directions, like a Martian version of Google "Street View."

The virtual panorama was pieced together from images taken on Curiosity's navigation cameras. Curiosity landed successfully on August 6th at 1:31 a.m. EDT.

The panoramic camera is available at 360cities.net and was assembled by photographer Andrew Bodrov.

Correction: An earlier version of this article stated the rover landed at 1:31 p.m. This error has been fixed to accurately state the rover landed at 1:31 a.m.
