Former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley (D) tweeted Monday that he suffered a broken elbow over the weekend.

O'Malley said he got the injury while at the gym:

O'Malley's gym mishap follows another Democrat's painful workout experience. Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) broke "a number of ribs and bones in his face" after an accident that occurred while he was exercising at home in January.
