Marvel Is Reportedly Working On 4 New Shows And A Miniseries For Cable & Streaming

Marvel Is Working On 4 (!?) New Shows

Marvel is reportedly prepping some big TV plans.

According to Deadline, Marvel is working on four new shows and a miniseries and has been quietly been looking for homes for the projects, with Netflix, Amazon and WGN America as potential homes.

The first Marvel TV series, "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," recently received a full season order by ABC after getting huge premiere ratings. The live Nielsen numbers have since cooled, but "S.H.I.E.L.D." continues to do well with time-shifted viewing.

While "S.H.I.E.L.D." is the first Marvel show, it's not the first one in development. ABC and Marvel previously took stabs at bringing Hulk to the small screen and adapting Brian Michael Bendis' gritty noir superhero comic "Alias" into "AKA Jessica Jones." A "Cloak & Dagger" series was also reportedly in the works at ABC Family.
