Disabled Mom Wins Scholarship From Pornhub, And It's Not What You Think

MaryAnn Uribe, 48, has been through a lot, including a murder plot.

MaryAnn Uribe earned big bucks from a prominent porn website -- and kept her clothes on.

Pornhub, one of the Internet's most-viewed porn sites, awarded the 48-year-old disabled mom from San Antonio, Texas, a $25,000 college scholarship, just for the G-rated philanthropy of it, the New York Daily News reported Monday.

The company announced a Pornhub Cares initiative in October to find the most-deserving recipient of higher education aid. Uribe discovered recently that she had won.

Pornhub vice president Corey Price said Uribe showed determination in her essay and video (above) that stood out among the 1,000 or so entrants.

"We were looking for someone who spread happiness and effected positive change," Price told The Washington Post. "She’s been through a lot. … When negative things happened, she really stood up for herself."

Uribe was the target of an alleged murder-for-hire plot in 2011, according to reports. She accused an attorney she worked for of ordering her killed because she blew the whistle on the firm for illegally soliciting business. The supposed plot unraveled when the alleged hit man confessed to authorities. The lawyer awaits trial.

Uribe said the trauma of being marked for death caused her to develop a phobia of going outside and a stutter, My San Antonio reported.

"I've made my disabilities work for me," Uribe said in the video to Pornhub, above.

Uribe just finished her two-year degree and will attend Troy University in Alabama to complete her bachelor's in political science. Then she plans to attend law school and work in the appellate court system, she said in the video.

"This award will allow me to continue to pursue my academic dreams and aspirations," Uribe said in a Pornhub press release.
