'MasterChef' Auditions In Chicago This Weekend

We already know Chicago is home to some of the greatest chefs in the world. But this weekend, Chicagoans have a chance to show their skills to the rest of the country.

On Saturday and Sunday, there will be an open casting call for Fox's "MasterChef."

Chicago's own Graham Elliot will be a special guest on the second day of auditions.

"This is a chance to show the rest of the country that Chicago is more than hotdogs and deep-dish pizza," Elliot told Chicago Eater Friday.

All competitors are must bring one prepared dish to be served at room temperature and they will get a few minutes to plate their dish. Contestants will not be able to cook or or reheat their food on site, so are urged to come prepared.
