If "Glee" fans think Blaine Anderson (Darren Criss) is a total catch, wait until they meet his older brother Cooper, played by "White Collar" star Matt Bomer.
The actor joins the hit musical series for a guest stint when it returns on April 10 for its spring premiere, aptly titled "Big Brother." As Blaine's starstruck boyfriend Kurt (Chris Colfer) notes in the episode, Cooper is the star of a free credit rating commercial, giving him the authority to offer the New Directions some acting lessons. According to EW, Cooper's tips include: "The key to a dramatic scene is pointing,” and “The secret to great acting is ignoring whatever the other actor is doing."
Bomer told EW that "Glee" was "one of the most fun experiences [he's] ever had" and revealed who he kisses during his stint (think blonde) and how his stripping role in the upcoming infamous movie "Magic Mike" influenced his dance moves on the Fox series ("It’s not all about me shaking my crotch”).
Bomer also spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about the origins of Cooper Anderson, coming back for more "Glee" and what songs he'll be singing this time around: Gotye's hit "Somebody I Used To Know" and a Duran Duran mashup, each of which had special meaning for the actor. "I grew up sharing a room with my brother, and every night for a good solid year we'd listen to the tape ... of Duran Duran as we went to bed. So getting to go in and record that was a dream come true," he told THR.
As for "Somebody That I Used To Know, Bomer told TVLine: "I had heard the Gotye song and I asked [series co-creator] Ryan [Murphy] if he ever thought of using that as a duet on the show. And he said he had. And then a week later I got a text from him asking me if I wanted to come on the show to sing it."
