Matt Bomer will don a thong (and little else) in the hotly anticipated "Magic Mike XXL," but the hunky actor says stripping and performing steamy dance moves alongside co-stars Channing Tatum and Joe Manganiello had a more personal payoff.
"I’m actually a pretty shy person, but I’m not anymore because of 'Magic Mike,'" the "White Collar" hunk, 37, tells People magazine, as cited by Gay Star News.
"The camaraderie builds as we go," Bomer, 37, added. "It’s just a free-for-all, and it’s exhibitionist and fun."
In a separate interview with Entertainment Tonight, the actor said he'd mastered putting on a thong, something that he'd admitted to struggling with during the filming of 2012's "Magic Mike."
"I think now I'm ready to go," he now said. "I'm ready. No assistance required."
In 2012, Bomer told MTV, "I had never worn a thong before, so the first time I tried it, I put it on wrong and my junk didn't fit in it."
The eventual solution? "I had to call a wardrobe person in and go, 'Something's wrong with my thong, you guys. I think we're gonna have to figure this out,' and they're like, 'Uh, yeah your legs are in the wrong holes.'" he said at the time. "So, that was step one."
