Matthew Broderick And Nathan Lane Revive 'Producers' To Give Donald Trump His Final Bow

Springtime for Trump and America.

Fingers crossed voters today have more common sense than Broadway audiences of the 1950s and '60s or else we are in for "Springtime for Trump."

On "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Sunday, Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick reprised their roles as Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom from the award-winning Mel Brooks musical, "The Producers," to deliver a Donald Trump spoof so good it could go to Broadway.

In the sketch, Broderick and Lane are now political consultants in need of a big break, who choose to back a losing candidate, instead of winner, to profit heavily off of his or her loss. Naturally, their focus turns to Trump who meets all of the qualifications: "a real trainwreck, a schmuck, a putz, a grade A, world class, gold-plated nincompoop."

Everything goes as planned until the candidate and the musical, "Trumped," become huge hits, making the two producers more successful than ever before. It would almost be funny, IF THIS WASN'T ACTUALLY HAPPENING.

Editor's Note: Donald Trump is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist, birther and bully who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims -- 1.6 billion members of an entire religion -- from entering the U.S.
