With the recent casting news, Season 6 of "Game of Thrones" is destined to be legendary.

On Monday, Entertainment Weekly reported that film legend Max von Sydow ("The Exorcist," "Minority Report" and the upcoming "Star Wars Episode VII") is joining Season 6 in a role fans are already familiar with. "GoT" is recasting the Three-Eyed Raven, the long-haired, bearded man previously played by Struan Rodger. The character appeared in Bran's visions throughout the series as a raven, but we finally met the man behind the raven in the Season 4 finale. In his brief onscreen moment, the greenseer told Bran that he won't walk again, but he will fly.

Sydow's reported casting follows the news that "Deadwood" star Ian McShane will also join the HBO show for Season 6. While we don't know what new character McShane will play, we have a pretty good idea he'll either be a Tarly or a Greyjoy. EW reports that both actors won't have a lot of screen time next season, but will still play crucial roles. Hmmm, could the Three-Eyed Raven have any crucial part in that one Jon Snow resurrection fan theory? We can only hope.
