Maxine Waters Delivers Sick Burn About Trump's China Policy Shift

She is everything. πŸ”₯

We’ve known for a long time that Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA) is full of moxie, but, if this is any indication, the 78-year-old has no intention of stopping her parade of badassery.

In an interview with Yahoo News’ Bianna Golodryga, Waters was asked for her reaction to President Donald Trump’s tax plan.

β€œWe don’t know what it means... It does not have any specificity. It does not have any details,” she said. β€œWe don’t know what he’s talking about. And don’t forget: you can’t trust this president. When he comes out with one thing, he’ll change the next day.”

Waters cited Trump’s flip-flopping about NAFTA and his position on China as examples. She said that Trump initially called China β€œcurrency manipulators” and then delivered a fantastic burn:

β€œHe had chocolate cake with President Xi and, all of the sudden, they are not currency manipulators.”

Waters is referring to Trump having a staunch stance about Chinese currency manipulation during his campaign, which he changed right after meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping... when they ate, according to Trump IS THAT CORRECT?, the β€œmost beautiful piece of chocolate cake that you’ve ever seen."

As R. Eric Thomas said in Elle RECENTLY? about her, Rep. Waters is β€œfresh out of mercy” and β€œtrying to single-handedly strap this country to her back and carry it to safety.” We can only hope she keeps on keepin’ on with burns like these.
