MCA Lyrics: Beastie Boys Adam Yauch's Most Memorable Rhymes

Readers Remember MCA's Best Beastie Boys Lyrics

As fans around the world mourn the death of the Beastie Boys' Adam Yauch, who passed away Friday morning at the age of 47 after a three-year battle with cancer, many have taken to social media to remember MCA and his iconic rhymes.

With his throaty growl and three-year age advantage over fellow Beasties Adam "Adrock" Horovitz and Michael "Mike D" Diamond, Yauch filled something of an older-brother role in the group. In their early, naughty-boy years, he took the customary hip-hop boasting to comically absurd levels. "What came first, the chicken or the egg? / I egged the chicken, then I ate his egg," MCA rhymed on 1989's "Egg Man." Later, as his involvement with Buddhism deepened, he became a persuasive voice for pacifism -- without ever losing his edgy sense of humor.

To honor the late emcee, HuffPost Entertainment asked our readers to send us their favorite MCA lyrics. Here are some of their submissions.
