McCain 2008 advisers Doug Holtz-Eakin and Nancy Pfotenhauer outlined the energy challenges the country faces today and explained how they think John McCain's policies will help fix them. Holtz-Eakin said the price of food was up as a result of high fuel prices and also ethanol subsidies which McCain opposes and Sen. Barack Obama supports. Holtz-Eakin and Pfotenhauer also discussed McCain's proposed Lexington Project which would award $300 million for an electric or hybrid car.
