Calling all Chicago meat lovers: it's time to dig in! Sunday, Jan. 30 is the kick-off to Meat Week.
Meat Week takes place the first week in February. Participants go to any of seven barbecue restaurants, and vote on such qualities as best meat, best sauce, and best atmosphere. Votes can be sent to amt8801@gmail.com.
Carnivores are also encouraged to take photos at each place and post their photos to the Meat Week website.
Two friends, Chris Cantey and Erni Walker, started Meat Week six years ago in Tallahassee, Fla. This special meat lover's week is now celebrated in over 20 cities.
