According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ryan will play a single mom who returns to her New York publishing house job and discovers her former intern is now her boss. Look for teenage kids, an ex-husband and his meddling mother to become characters as well. Marc Lawrence is behind the comedy.

Ryan will executive produce the project with her manager Jane Berliner. The actress has been out of the spotlight recently, returning with a People cover story about her life outside of Hollywood. Her last film was 2009's "Serious Moonlight."

Ryan recently popped up on Showtime's "Web Therapy." Her TV credits include "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "One Of The Boys." She's provided voices on "The Simpsons" and "Captain Planet."
