Learning what actually happens inside a mother's body during pregnancy can be eye-opening to say the least. This may be especially true for the male-bodied people out there.
The folks at BuzzFeed video filmed a group of men reacting to facts about pregnancy -- such as "a woman's uterus can expand up to 500 times in size during a pregnancy" and "from the second trimester onwards, babies pee in the uterus, then they drink it, then they pee again, then they drink it."
Their reactions range from shock to concern to fear. "What happens to all the innards?" one guy asks. "I don't envy this at all," another adds.
The guys also get to see how a baby's face looks as it develops in utero, which leads to comparisons to E.T. and Pokémon.
Watching a video about the way a woman's body changes during pregnancy, one viewer makes the understatement of the day: "This just seems unpleasant."
When the men are asked to sum up their final thoughts, they offer apologies and statements of awe. But perhaps the best response comes in the form of a question.
"Why isn't maternity leave better in the United States?"
