At least one person was killed Monday in a shooting at a mental health center in South Carolina, WBTV reports.
A coroner confirmed the death following the incident at the Tri-County Mental Health Center in Chesterfield, according to WSOCTV.
WSOC also reports that authorities said the shooter "was down."
The victim was a patient at the medical center, according to WBTV.
Officials told WSOC that a probation officer shot the suspect.
Chesterfield is a small town in the eastern part of the state with about 1,400 people.
