This Monday, on the occasion of the annual MET Gala fundraiser to benefit The Metropolitan Museum of Art museum's Costume Institute, Monica Belluci had the best of both worlds: the iconic Valentino as a date and French “hair-artist” John Nollet to achieve her signature effortlessly glamorous look. The Italian actress wore her hair down in loose curls with a fringe accentuating the James Bond girl’s mesmerizing smoky eyes.
“I already had the pleasure to work with Monica Bellucci several times and since many years: for her films, advertising campaigns, photo shoots and other events…It is always a honor and I am glad to be with her once again tonight ” - said Nollet who I met in Paris before his New York glam-scape.
As seen on Vanessa Paradis, Uma Thurman and Nicole Kidman, chances are you are already familiar with Nollet’s hair artistry. His client list includes the biggest Hollywood names. Nollet shared with me he is even the mastermind behind Johnny Depp’s dreadlocks in Pirates Of The Caribbean.
For fashion’s biggest night out, Bellucci was dressed in a sexy bespoke sheer black gothic gown by Pier Paolo Piccioli for Maison Valentino and adorned in Cartier jewelry.
The MET Gala 2017 celebrated Comme des Garçons founder Rei Kawakubo with the “Art of the In-Between” exhibition and evening theme. Coincidence or not, Nollet’s by appointment-only salon is only steps away from the brand’s Paris head office.
Here is how to get Monica Bellucci’s look: treat yourself to a fabulous Paris getaway by booking a rendez-vous at Hair Room Service by John Nollet at Park Hyatt Suite 101 (oui oui, it’s all about you).
The salon even has a terrace where you can sip on some champagne while getting pampered. If fully booked, inquire about a couture hair accessory custom made from Paris, with love.
