Wednesday's horrific car wash attack in Tepic, Mexico left 15 people dead. The tragedy was yet another in the increasingly bloody war against the country's drug cartels, which have killed nearly 30,000 people, Reuters reports.

From birthday party massacres to drug rehab center attacks, Mexico's drug war has been marked by nearly non-stop civilian bloodshed. Circumstances got particularly grisly in 2010, when a popular aspiring politician was slain mere days before the election and the body of a mayor was found abandoned on a country road. And with six men killed in Mexico City on Thursday, the violence doesn't appear to be letting up anytime soon.
