Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Giménez had a few good things to gloat about in his annual State of the County address Thursday -- and not just the opening jazz band. (Jazz band!)

The Mayor also outlined property insurance problems and our "major" transportation issues. But tucked in talk about job creation, brain drain, and how the mayor used a "proxy" to ask out his wife for the first time (smoooooth), his report also contained some pretty positives nuggets about fiscal year 2011-12 in the nation's eighth-largest county.
