Michael Bublé is hitting back at reports that his relationship with his ex, actress Emily Blunt, ended because he was unfaithful.

"It didn't end because of cheating," said Bublé in an interview with ET Canada's Erin Cebula. "It ended because we weren't right for each other, and we are now exactly where we're supposed to be in our lives."

Recently, Blunt was on Howard Stern and spoke about her relationship with Bublé, which lasted from 2005 to 2008.

"But that [the relationship] was heartbreak," said Stern. "Because he, he was not faithful."

"Well," said Blunt. "I don't know, it's complicated. Now I'm going red ... I never want to talk about it!"

Many have speculated that Bublé cheated on Blunt, when pictures came out of the singer apparently in another woman's bed. But for whatever reason why the two broke it off, Bublé said it was meant to be.

"Emily is a beautiful and loving person, and I'm grateful for the time I had with her, for the relationship," said Bublé to ET Canada. "Without it, I wouldn't have had a chance to fall in love with myself enough to be with a woman like my wife."

Bublé has been married to wife Luisana Lopilato since 2011. The two have one child together, Noah, and are expecting their second child very soon.

Blunt married actor John Krasinski in 2010 and have one child, named Hazel.
