Michael Grimm Won't Be Charged For Reporter Threat

Rep. Michael Grimm won't be charged for threatening a reporter after President Barack Obama's State of the Union address on Tuesday.

Grimm got in the face of NY1 reporter Michael Scotto on Tuesday after an interview, telling Scotto "I will break you in half." Grimm later apologized, calling it an "unfortunate incident that shouldn't have happened."

NBC's Frank Thorp tweeted Friday that Capitol Police wouldn't be charging Grimm:

Scotto said he had no plans to press charges.

"He seemed angrier than I had ever seen a politician talk to a reporter about a question that he or she didn't like,” Scotto said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" Wednesday. “I think the tape speaks for itself, so I'm just going to leave it as is."
