At least his parents taught him the importance of punctuality.

A Redding, Calif. man told police that he stole a truck so he could be on time for an unrelated vehicle theft court date, KRCRTV reported.

Michael Heller, 21, allegedly stole the truck early last Thursday. According to ChicoER News, 69-year-old John Westberg was working on his 1989 Ford Ranger when Heller allegedly jumped into the front seat and sped away.

Heller was arrested for vehicle theft and possession of a stolen vehicle, according to a statement released by the Redding Police Department.

It is unclear how Heller will get to his future court date.
