Michael Ogborn Accused Of Punching Sonic Employee Over Accidental Tomato

Tomato Causes Man To Fly Into A Rage, Cops Say

This guy really doesn't like tomatoes.

Michael Ogborn was arrested for battery after he allegedly punched a Vero Beach, Fla., Sonic employee in an altercation that started after Ogborn found a tomato on his burger.

WPTV reports that Ogborn told police he ordered a burger sans tomatoes, only to discover one waiting for him when he unwrapped his meal.

According to an arrest affidavit, Sonic manager James Morgan told police that Ogborn was upset with his order and demanded a refund.

Morgan said he gave Ogborn his money back and thought the situation had cooled down, the affidavit said.

But that's when, Morgan told cops, Ogborn punched him in the face.

The affidavit humorously adds that Ogborn punched Morgan in the face "against his will," just in case anyone thought the manager ordered a knuckle sandwich.

Ogborn told cops a different story. The affidavit says the anti-tomato advocate only punched Morgan after the manager spit on his shoes.

It would appear the cops didn't think Ogborn's justification was adequate, as they charged him with misdemeanor battery.
