In the following video from fora.tv, Michael Pollan calls for an open source approach to genetic engineering. Pollan doesn't think that genetic modification is incongruous with a healthy society, but the way it's done now promotes huge consumption of corn and soy, and advertises promises not being delivered on. He says the way to fix this problem is to open the intellectual propriety behind genetic engineering to crop scientists.
