Michele Bachmann Obamacare 'Kills' Claim Slammed By Dan Kildee (VIDEO)

Dem Rep Slams Bachmann's 'Kill' Claim

Rep. Dan Kildee (D-Mich.) critized Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) for claiming Obamacare "literally kills" people.

Kildee said he "can't understand where she's coming from" during a Friday appearance on MSNBC's "Jansing & Co."

"This Affordable Care Act improves coverage for people," he said.

During his interview, Kildee claimed "it's usually an entertaining moment when the microphone turns to" Bachmann.

In a floor speech Thursday, Bachmann called on the House of Representatives to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

"Repeal this failure before it literally kills women, kills children, kills senior citizens," Bachmann said.

Bachmann has been a vocal opponent of President Barack Obama's health care law, which was signed into law three years ago. She introduced the first bill of the 113th Congress to repeal Obamacare in its entirety.

On Friday, the Senate rejected an effort by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) to repeal Obamacare. The vote marked the 36th time that Senate Republicans have tried -- and failed -- to repeal Obamacare.
