Michelle Obama Wears Azzedine Alaia Dress To MLK Memorial (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: Michelle Obama Picks Another Alaia

Michelle Obama loves to play favorites when it comes to designers and Azzedine Alaia often tops the list.

That ubiquitous black Alaia belt cinched many of Michelle's cardigans on the campaign trail and the Tunisian designer's dresses have been among Mrs. Obama's favorites.

On Sunday the First Lady joined her family at Washington D.C.'s Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial wearing a body-conscious, terracotta-colored Alaia dress topped with a wrap cardigan and a brooch.

The cut of the drop-waist frock was quite similar to other Alaias Michelle Obama has chosen, with its form-fitting bodice and ruffled skirt. Obama chose a black version for a 2009 trip to Germany, an icy blue version for the Nobel Peace Prize gala in Oslo and a white version for the G-20 summit last year.

In fact this autumn-hued version is a repeat, as Michelle Obama wore the dress sans sweater to last year's UN Summit.

(In no way connected to Alaia but also worthy of note: Malia wore a pair of super adorable polka dotted tights for the memorial visit.)
