Michelle Obama, Marian Robinson Stun In Coordinating Dresses At The Democratic Convention (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: Michelle Obama & Her Mom Don Coordinating Dresses!

When in doubt, wear purple.

If that's not an official FLOTUS motto, it should be, as First Lady Michelle Obama wrapped up her Democratic National Convention fashion tear on Thursday in a stunning eggplant printed dress -- right alongside her mom Marian Robinson.

The first lady took to the seats in her final appearance of the convention clad in a deep aubergine boatneck printed Laura Smalls dress to watch President Obama's big speech at the Time Warner arena in Charlotte. Flanked by SLOTUS Dr. Jill Biden, Mrs. O also brought along a special guest who's less often seen: her mother Marian Robinson, who kept things monochromatic in a similarly-printed black and white frock. Twinsies! But while FLOTUS jazzed things up with a purple brooch, Mom opted for sparkly earrings.

Earlier this week, FLOTUS wowed a whole nation in her pink custom Tracy Reese frock when she delivered a powerhouse speech of her own.

We're super sad to see the convention come to a close... but! There's only more great Michelle Obama style to come. For now, peep some pics of FLOTUS and her mum below.
