Today is not only Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, but it's also Michelle Obama Day. In a way. The first lady turned 47 on Monday, and she and her family marked the occasion by paying tribute to MLK with a painting project at a school on Capitol Hill. See below for some sweet photos of that.

The president later took his wife at to dinner at The Source, an Asian fusion restaurant owned by Wolfgang Puck.

On Sunday, the first family attended services Metropolitan AME Church, where fellow parishioners sang "Happy Birthday" to the first lady.
