Michigan Tornadoes, Storms Wreak Havoc In Genesee, Shiawassee Counties (VIDEO)

WATCH: Tornadoes Leave Trail Of Destruction In Michigan

Residents in two Michigan counties were recovering Wednesday from the havoc wreaked by a night of heavy thunderstorms and tornadoes. Funnel clouds reportedly touched down at three locations in Genesee County near Flint and two other sites in neighboring Shiawassee County, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Tornado warnings were issued by the National Weather Service Tuesday evening for the two counties. Those in the affected areas were advised to take shelter.

No injuries were reported in the Flint area by Wednesday morning, according to CBS Detroit.

On Facebook, local resident Bill Floto posted footage he said he recorded of one of the tornadoes in Shiawasee:

The night's severe weather left a path of broken trees, downed power lines and wrecked buildings. Houses were damaged or demolished in Swartz Creek and in the vicinity of Fenton and Mount Morris Township, according to the Lansing State Journal. Damage was also reported to homes in the Goodrich area, but the weather service, noting the thunderstorm's high winds, didn't immediately attribute it to a tornado, the Detroit News reports.

Debra Dodd, a spokeswoman for Consumers Energy, told the Free Press 12,000 customers were without power early Wednesday -- 6,000 of them in the southern part of Genesee County.
