The COOLEST Projects From Microsoft's Imagine Cup

Last weekend, 80 students convened at the Newseum in Washington D.C. to showcase their innovative creations for Microsoft's 8th annual Imagine Cup.

Students were challenged to address the United Nations' Millenium Development Goals with their projects. 22,000 entered the contest in total, and finalists' projects ranged from mobile apps that track illness to a game that makes recycling fun.

James Cameron addressed the winning groups, reminding them of the world's need for engineers and innovators (and the fact that most of the team behind "Avatar" was under 25).
