Taking A Midday Nap Could Lower Your Blood Pressure

It's science.

Depending on your office environment, it might be considered unusual to have a cat nap in the middle of the workday. But recent research has found that an hour of midday shut-eye could be good for your health.

Turning the traditional lunch break into an afternoon nap has been shown to lower blood pressure and decrease the risk for heart attack in people with hypertension, according to new research presented to the European Society of Cardiology last week. Other research shows that sleep is essential for good health: It can improve your mood, your focus and even your creative abilities. The benefits are great enough to consider sharing this article with your boss. Perhaps an office-wide nap hour will be put in place. Wouldn't that be a dream?
