This Young Heckler Was So Hilarious Miguel Cabrera Gave Him A Bat

Now this is how you get Miggy's attention.

Cleveland may have lost 7-3 to Detroit on Tuesday, but the real action happened in the stand between an Indians fan named Dom and Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis fouled a ball down the first base line. Dom, sitting right on the railing, bent over and snagged the ball with his hat to secure his first souvenir of the game.

It was a sweet catch -- one that any first baseman would be proud of.

Then, seemingly unprompted, Dom started talking trash to Cabrera, who was wildly amused with the kid's behavior.

The adrenaline rush of the catch was so overwhelming that he wanted Cabrera, despite being the best player on the Indians' top rival team, to be just as pumped as he was.

"I just told Miggy, 'I got your back. You need to be fired up,'" Dom told Fox Sports Detroit. "He looked bored out there."

After the inning ended, Cabrera, appreciative of the Dom's hardcore enthusiasm for a Tuesday night MLB game in June, albeit a fan for the opposition, walked over to him and handed over a few parting gifts.

"At first, I thought he was just telling me to back away and stop talking," Dom said.

"I was shocked, really," Dom said.

Shocked enough to become a Cabrera fan? Not quite.

"I don't know," he said. "He's on Detroit."

CORRECTION: A previous version of this article stated that Miguel Cabrera gave his bat and gloves to Dom after the game. The gift exchange happened after the fifth inning ended.
