Miguel Montero Gives Yasiel Puig A Finger Wag After Play At The Plate (VIDEO)

WATCH: Montero Gives Puig The Finger Wag

Diamondbacks catcher Miguel Montero busted out his best impression of former NBA center Dikembe Mutombo on Tuesday night after a play at the plate with Dodgers phenom Yasiel Puig.

In the top of the fifth with the bases loaded, Adrian Gonzalez hit a deep fly ball to center field. Arizona center fielder Adam Eaton stumbled and failed to make the catch, allowing two runs to score easily. Puig was on first base and decided to test his luck -- and Eaton's arm -- when he got to third. The rookie dashed for home plate and ran into Montero, who held onto the ball and tagged him out.

After the play, Montero gave him a Mutombo-esque finger wag.

"He came in hard, he's playing the game hard," Montero said after the game, via MLB.com. "Just trying to score. I just tried to block the plate as well. You don't need to look at me if you get out. It's all right. He was out, that's all I care."

The gesture was made famous by the 7'2" Mutomobo during his time in the NBA after unleashing one of his signature blocks.
