'Mike & Molly': Susan Sarandon Plays Molly's Alcoholic, Unhinged Idol (VIDEO)

'Mike & Molly': Susan Sarandon Makes An Unexpected Move On Molly

Don't meet your heroes. It's an important lesson exemplified by the latest episode of "Mike & Molly." In it, Susan Sarandon portrayed author Janice Corb Small. As Molly is getting into writing, seeing Janice at a grocery store was a big deal for her. Such a big deal that she followed Janice to her home. Stalk much?

At first, Janice rebuffed Molly's attempts to get her manuscript read, but it wasn't long before those tables were reversed. Molly appreciated the tough love Janice gave her story, but wasn't at all prepared for a very different kind of love that came out when the two started dipping deeper into the vodka bottle.

Janice was not only suddenly quite interested in Molly, she was not able to take a hint. She climbed across the living room to get to Molly, and at one point wound up on top of her. Molly managed to squirm out from under her, but Janice still stood up and made her intentions clear, grabbing Molly's face and planting a big kiss on her.

“I like to get that out of the way," she said. When Janice ran off to get them something more comfortable to wear, Molly chugged some vodka and got out of there as fast as she could.

Melissa McCarthy and Susan Sarandon will be working together again, only next time on the big screen. Sarandon plays McCarthy's grandmother in the latter's directorial debut, "Tammy," out next year. And Sarandon may be back on the small screen shortly after that if her new sitcom is picked up. She's filming a pilot with her daughter, Eva Amurri, for NBC's 2014 fall season.

"Mike & Molly" airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
