Mike D'Antoni Snaps At T.J. Simers After Lakers' Loss To Cavs: 'You're Starting To Piss Me Off' (VIDEO)

The Lakers' woes are starting to get to Mike D'Antoni. So is the Los Angeles media.

Following the Lakers' eighth loss in 11 games -- this time to the Cleveland Cavaliers who have now improved to 5-17 -- D'Antoni got a little upset with Los Angeles Times columnist T.J. Simers for his line of questioning about working on their defense at practice earlier that day.

After Simers bluntly asked if they simply worked on defense at the shootaround, D'Antoni fired back.

"Hell yea we worked for a half hour on it. You're starting to piss me off," he said. "You're starting to piss me off because you said something that's not factually correct."

Shortly after the postgame exchange, Simers took to Twitter and "apologized."

The Lakers are now 4-8 under D'Antoni and have given up 100 points or more in each of the last three games, all of which were losses. Perhaps it will get better when Pau Gasol and Steve Nash return.

If that's the case, Lakers legend Magic Johnson thinks D'Antoni is going to have to change the way he uses his other 7-footer.

"What the coach has to do is say I have a certain philosophy but I don't have the players to play that scheme and that system. But what I do have is two of the best 7-footers in the game," he said, via USA Today. "When Gasol was on that block, he averaged 18 points. He shot 53%. And he is the best passing big man in the game. But you have him at the free throw line. That makes no sense. That's not his game. His game is catch it on the low block, face his man and make a move to the cup. He has great moves. I've got to adjust my system a little if I'm the coach."
