Despite multiple reports claiming that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have ended their relationship, E! News says it's not quite over for the pair who became engaged last June.
Sources told the website that the couple are still together, but it's been a struggle.
"[Miley and Liam] have been a bit rocky, but are not giving up," says a source. "They both want it to work."
Rumors that the two had split intensified after learning that Hemsworth, 23 is currently in Australia visiting family, while Cyrus, 20, has been spotted around Los Angeles not wearing her engagement ring. People magazine reported that Hemsworth headed Down Under to "have a break" from Cyrus. "It doesn't mean that they have split. Miley says they are still together," a source said. "Liam did fly home so they could have a break."
Rumors there was trouble in paradise began after Star magazine alleged that Hemsworth had cheated on Cyrus with "Mad Men" actress January Jones.
Cyrus took to Twitter to set the record straight, claiming she hadn't called off her wedding, and stated that she's not talking about anything besides her music.
Sources told RadarOnline that while Miley is "super independent" -- a quality which Hemsworth loves about her-- she's also "an insecure girl who’s terrified of losing him and will do whatever it takes to make their relationship work.”
The source adds, "This just goes to show Miley’s immaturity and lack of relationship experience — that she’s the one who’s dying to make it work with Liam, when he’s the one who strayed from their relationship!”
